The IBMA is a member-led organization. Our Board of Directors is elected by professional members. Volunteer committees make possible a large percentage of IBMA’s annual programs. The IBMA office, in Nashville, TN, has a staff of five which implements the directives of the Board.
The DEI Committee was formed as a standing committee by the IBMA Board in 2022 with the purpose of creating a safe space for honest and open conversations, to raise issues and areas for improvement, and to develop action plans to increase diversity in our organization.
The IBMA has earned both reach (93k+ followers on socials, 30k+ email subscribers) and good standing in the bluegrass community. Our annual IBMA World of Bluegrass festival drew over 220,000 visitors in 2019. Partner with us to connect with a demographic that is loyal, tapped in, and motivated to support the businesses that support bluegrass.
