The IBMA is again offering camping at the NC State Fairgrounds. We have a block of 50 sites held for IBMA attendees for September 29 - October 3. The cost is $25. per unit per night for all campers/ RVs/ tents and includes full hook ups (water, sewer and electrical access). Internet access is also available.
Campsites at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds are fully equipped camp sites are available at the State Fairgrounds which is locally approximately five miles from downtown and World of Bluegrass events. Complimentary transportation from the campground to the main hotels will again be sponsored by the Raleigh Convention Center. Drive time is an estimated 10-15 minutes depending upon time of day. The spots are spacious and in a new area of the fairgrounds which will accommodate an RV, easily including room for an additional vehicle. The fairgrounds will do their best to accommodate special requests (i.e. campsites close to facilities, campsites under shade trees etc…)
The IBMA will also have up to 30 RV parking spaces in immediate proximity to the event campus for self-contained RVs or those just needing day parking. The planned location is between the Marriott and the Performing Arts Center. Electricity and hook ups are not provided. The cost for downtown camping/parking is $15. per day, per space, with oversize units charged depending upon the number of spaces required. Attendees without reservations will be accommodated “first come, first served.
